Great Novels!

Tank Riot: Episode 103

Show Notes

Sputnik, Viktor, and Tor each talk about 5 great novels. The Tank Crew cover why each novel is a favorite and why it may be a good read for you too. Books covered include The Master & Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Defense by Vladimir Nabokov, It by Stephen King, Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson, Orbital Decay by Allen Steele, Childhood's End by Sir Arthur C. Clarke, the Pentagon Papers, 1984 by George Orwell, The Vandals of Treason House by Nancy Veglahn, Lucky Starr and the Oceans of Venus by Isaac Asimov, I, Robot by Isaac Asimov, and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.

During the show the Tank Team mention the boycott of Amazon.com as suggested by Daniel Ellsberg. Since its inception Tank Riot has provided links to to Amazon.com for products mentioned in the podcast. The merit of a boycott of Amazon.com is being debated on the "interwebs" and we at Tank Riot understand there are different sides to the issue. For Tank Riot to go "all in" on an Amazon.com boycott would involve a lot of manual deletion of hard coded links. This would involve a lot of work that may not have much political payoff. So instead we will provide you with some links about the boycott so you can make your own decision. If the actions of Amazon.com bother you, please shop elsewhere.
